Tradewinds Home
This stunning home drew inspiration from the classic and timeless style of a Hamptons home. While the home has some rustic panelling and furniture which gives it a comfortable and lived-in feel, the overall design of the home remains elegant. Like many lakeside homes, this one uses a palette of neutrals and blues. Interestingly, the design of this home leverages a wide range of shades, from deep navy blues that give some rooms in the home a classic, nautical feel to lighter blues that are reminiscent of a California beach house.
Another interesting touch in this home is the black finish on the window frames. The unique accent gives the home a modern, fresh, and polished look while creating a beautiful contrast with the lighter wall color.

Alabama Lakeside Condo
This Alabama condo is another great example of how rustic and refined design can live in harmony. The homeowners of this beautiful condo added some unique touches that make the space stand out. Bright pops of red can be found throughout the home on the doors, the base of the kitchen island, an accent wall in the guest room, and woven throughout home accent pieces such as pillows and blankets. Several windows were added to the home to help create incredible views of the lake. The natural light and stunning views helped to open up the space making it feel bigger and brighter.

The Lilypad Cottage
Speaking of natural light and stunning views, check out this incredible cottage. This design clearly highlights the power of a monochrome room that leverages a simple white palette. One thing that these homeowners did especially well was the creation of cozy outdoor spaces. In addition to a beautiful interior, it’s clear that a great deal of effort was put into ensuring that time could be spent enjoying the lake outdoors. A beautiful fire pit built on top of a deck, complete with comfortable furniture and cozy blankets, is the perfect setting for an evening of drinks and conversation. The homeowners of the Lilypad Cottage also created a cozy cabana beside the home’s pool. This is a great option for days when the weather may not be cooperating.
We hope that taking a look at some of these beautiful waterfront homes has helped to inspire you to create your dream space by the lake. Remember, all successful home renovation and redesign projects start with a clear vision!
