2017 Ski Day Raised $25,658

On February 2 we skied, we laughed and we raised money for the organizations that make a difference in our community. The Royal LePage Locations North and Hospice Georgian Triangle Ski Day raised $25,658 which was donated to Hospice Georgian Triangle and the Royal LePage Shelter Foundation to support My Friend’s House.   The 32nd Annual Ski and Snowshoe Day was a day to remember at Craigleith Ski Club. We enjoyed fantastic ski conditions, lovely snowshoeing trails and the company of some great people. According to Locations North Broker of Record, Desmond von Teichman, this year’s conditions were “the best yet!” Our distinguished leader, Royal LePage President, Phil Sopher, joined us again this year, plus Royal LePage team members from Ottawa, Kitchener, Burlington, Orangeville, Mulmur came out for the event. In additional to Royal LePage, we had members of Sutton Group and Ed Pakstas Realty join us. We’re so humbled by everyone’s hard work and dedication to this great event year after year. None of this would be possible without the people involved in the organization of the event and support on the day. We’d like to thank the following individuals. From Royal LePage Locations North Angiline Dubien – the star of Silent …

32nd Annual Ski & Snowshoe Day

We always say there is never a dull season in the Georgian Triangle. From Summer to Winter there are loads of activities to keep professionals and families busy and active. But we have to admit the Winter season is one of our favourites. In Ontario, there is no other place quite like the Georgian Triangle when it comes to ski and snowboarding options. We have such a fantastic selection of private and public ski resorts, unlike any other area in the province. One of the reasons we work so hard is so we can take some time to truly enjoy what our community has to offer us. If you haven’t explored the ski hills, this season is the perfect opportunity to do so. On February 2, Locations North is hosting our 32nd Annual Ski & Snowshoe Day for Hospice & Shelter at Craigleith Ski Club in the Blue Mountains. Enjoy a day of skiing or snowshoeing with family, friends, colleagues or friends you have yet to make! This fun-filled, activity-packed day will include: skiing and snowshoeing, on hill activities, food and drinks, silent auction, raffles and prizes, music and entertainment, and a fun apres ski event. The 5th annual Collingwood Holiday House Tour was a grand success. The November 12 event, hosted at the Georgian Bay Hotel, was another triumph raising close to $30,000. A big shout out to the hard-working fundraising team led by Debbie Bullock at Royal LePage Locations North, in partnership with Our Homes Magazine. Funds raised via ticket sales and the silent auction are in support of Royal LePage Shelter Foundation as well as charities nominated by each of this year’s generous homeowners. The Royal LePage Shelter Foundation supports My Friend’s House in Collingwood. The six homeowners split 25% of the funds raised, and cheques have been donated to their charities of choice, including Events for Life, Campbell House, Georgian Triangle Humane Society, and the Maddie Project. The remaining homeowners donated their portion to My Friend’s House. The total raised from the 2016 Collingwood Holiday House Tour is $29,127.60, with total funds raised for My Friend’s House at a whopping $25,106.34!
